Hi
Fairly new here, some very good and informative reading, decided to do a couple
mods, mbrp turbo back exhaust, idled a little rough for a couple days, then smooth right out, talked to my mech,he said it usually take a bit for the computer to adjust to the reduced back pressure, kool, then i decided to go with a gen2 k&n
filter system, idle alittle rough agian, just want to know is this normal or should i plan on putting it back to the stock intake, hadn't planned on chipping, but if it helps,i'd give it a shot
The stock is a great setup, the k&n only helps in the very high rpm curve , and whatever you do dont take truck in with after market intake on they will void your warranty at some dealerships.
kinda curious, your system is able to breathe better, they void the warranty, you think with all the teck out there, they relialize hmmm there something were missing, all i know you put 60k into a truck you shouldn't have to worry about bs,luv my truck, but if i'm going to go threw (through)the bs with her, hate to say ,gone to have to chip her
Service work only shows up in OASIS if Ford pays for it. If it is paid for by the customer, it is logged nowhere else besides the dealer's own history databases.
What I Should Have Said Is If You Have An Engine Failure And You Take It In With The After Market Air Filter They Will Not Fix Your Engine,or If They Ever See Your Air Filter, that Could Give Them Excuse To Deny Your Claims. That Is If Your Dealer Is Not Mod Frendly.
I wouldn't waste my money on an after-market filter. Time after time I've seen little or no HP/TQ gain on side-by-side dyno tests. Besides Fords got a Donoldson in there right now. Save the jing put in some after-market programming.
