what years are interchangeable
I have a oppertunity to buy a 1973 F100 for $100 witha good C6 transmission does anyone know if it is interchangle into a 1982 F100 with a 302 AOD?

My only concern would be the kick down on the carb but I don't think that should be much of a concern. At least I think that is the case. Good luck, sounds like a pretty good deal

The motor and trans out of the '73 will fit. Are you planning a complete swap? If so the only issues you may run into would be the oil dipstick is in the timing cover instead of the drivers side and your drive shaft may not be the correct size. If you are going to reuse your old tranny then I would make sure the flywheel on the '73 fits the AOD and use the intake & carb off your current engine so the throttle and kickdown cables fit.
