What suspension is under a 1995 Explorer?

I think the 1991-1994 had the TTB with coil springs and the 1996-up have A-arms and torsion bars. Is this information correct and if so what was under the 1995 model? Was the suspension a mid-year change? I am going to be getting a 1995 this summer for the kids and was just wondering what it has.

The '95 was the first year of the second generation and the front suspension uses the control arms and torsion bars. I have owned a '91 as well as a '95 and '99 and the second generation front suspension is much better. Plus the radial arm bushings used on the first gen Explorers are troublesome.

Thats what I thought but the information I can find on suspension packages lists 91-94' and 96'-up. Is there some differences between 95' and 96'?

No differences in '95 and '96. Ford came out with generation 2A in '98 but it was only cosmetic freshening up. Suspension stayed the same from '95 throught '01.

I wonder why the suspension manufacturers don't list the 1995? I have noticed that many of them list the Excursion as 2001-up also. Our Excursion is a 2000 and everything seems to be the same as a 2001. I wonder if there might be a minor difference between the 1995 ans the 1996?
