I believe single axle dually considered 5 tons thru dot my f700 is a 10 ton dump truck and smaller trucks are at half that rating.if your f550 is double frammed and helper springs you might be more then 5 tons but a good rule of thumb stop loading the truck when you start touching the helper/over load springs,thats what dot looks for,but most dealers can tell you right over the phone!!
