Need some input on tires please.

Well its time to put some new shoes on the F-250.I have been doing alot of reading and comparing. And i must say my brain is fried.Just when i think i figured out what tire i want then i read alot of bad things about it.So here is my situation i live in michigan and the wife drives it down a bad road US12 they dont plow it for crap.Well anyways i want something that is good in snow, rain, dry payment and if i do go out in the field it wont sink like it does with the firestone steeltex.I have looked at the BFG all terrains since we had them on her old F250 but it was a light duty truck.I would like to go with these agian but i now pull our 30ft travel trailer and the tire is rated D not E not to mention it seem like we dropped in fuel mileage when we put them on.So then i looked at the Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT and like them as well but people claim they wear out super fast.So then i have been reading on the Toyo open country AT and havent found much out about them.Any input on these or other tires would be great i got 61,900 on the firestones and they suck i have to get them off of it soon.

I put some cooper HT's m/s on my 01 E350 245-75 R16 this year can't tell you a lot about milage this is my first set I put on it. It had a off brand of cooper on it which lasted over 60,000 miles but were terrible in snow. These HT's have been great this winter. The van goes threw the snow this year that it never went before. It's kind of a narrow tire for mud but I try to stay away from mud with the van (doesent like mud) I do pull a 34 ft TT and never got stuck in a camp ground this fall. the tires have a load range E and so far I like them. Maybe they have wider verson's of them which would be better in the mud.

Well mud really isnt a issue for us she dont take her baby off roading but like i said i dont want to be the guy who gets laughed at with this big old truck and got stuck in 3 inches of mud.Just the other night i had to pull someone out of the mud and i pulled down in there with junk firestones and felt the truck sink i was like this isnt good...I hurried up and threw it in reverse and got out of there lol started hooking tow strapes together.Because i wasnt getting stuck.

I've used Nitto Terra Grapplers over the last couple of years and they are very comparable to the Toyo Open Country TA which I've used in the past. I feel the Nittos have a better ride and are a better value. I rarely keep a truck past about 36k, but I've been very happy with the Toyo and Nitto brand.
I currently just put on a new set of Nitto Terra Grappler 295 70/R17 on my 05 F250. You can check out my pics. They are not too large and don't throw things off to much either. I'm very happy with the price, ride, and traction in both rain and snow.

I am running the Nitto's, I think you need to re-look at the Revo's, everything I have ever seen says that they are he best tire there is, go to Tire Racks web-site, it list the all-terrians from best to worst. I think the Nitto's and the Toyo's are the same thing, my Nitto's can take some weight, they can be aired to 65psi, but the diesel guys eat them up because of the weight, just like all the other all-terrians. I had my Nitto's sipped, it is like another tire, really helped out!

The Revo is an awesome tire. I had Revo's on my ride until I lifted it and I was very impressed with the tires.

what size tires are you using now?if you'er considering an lt265/75r16 in a load range D. the load capacity of that tire is approx 3000#. the lt235/85r16 load range E has a capacity of 3042#. no real difference.now, if your truck came with lt265/75r16 load range E, you can use an lt285/75r16 load range D and still maintain load capacity. And yes the nitto terra grappler is mfg'd by toyo. the ride extremely smooth and quiet, but are limited in off road tractiion. hope this helps!

Well like i said before its not a truck that goes off roading.I just dont want to be the one all the guys laugh at when i pull into a couple of inches of we dirt or mud and get stuck.Just like the other night i had to pull someone out and it sunk about 3-5 inches and i hurried up and backed out because with the stock firestones i new i would get stuck.ITs mainly a daily driver and once in a while pull the big Travel trailer.

Get the Nittos. I've had two sets and love them for both price, load capacity, smoothness, quite, traction, and wear.
