best exhaust possible??????
i have a 78 ranger with a 351w and a 4 speed and i want an exhaust that will turn everyones head. i bought a set of ford racing 1 5/8 stainless steel shorty headers of a mustang and also the chrome mandral bent tailpipes (2 1/4) off the mustang too. i need to know what to run for pipes and mufflers the rest of the way to really make the truck bark.

mufflers
Check out Spintechs "truck RV" mufflers. I have gone thru 3 different mufflers on a custom "home made" exhaust system. I stumbled across Spintechs and they sound and work the best. Before them I had Edelbrocks stainless steel lifetime RPM series mufflers, over $100 each. Check 'em out!

run 2.25" that should do a good job. Go with any straight through type muffler. Magnaflow, Edelbrock, Hooker Max Flow, etc. I don't recomend the Dynomax ultraflo because I can't see paying that much for a glasspack.
