the best exhaust setup
i've got a 2001 diesel 250...whats the best setup for it exaust wise? single, double, what size pipes? what company is the best for the buck?...how much am i looking at spending? would it be cheaper if i went through and exaust shop to purchase it and get them to install?

I went to a few local shops. Told them what i wanted and listened to their advice.
Went with the one I felt most comfortable with, luckily they were the cheapest too. Got my Flowmaster Delta Flow 40 last July and I am very happy with it and the job the shop did.

I just swapped out the stock muffler on my 01 7.3 with a walker BTM (big truck muffler) Its a long straight through design that sounds great and flow wise it gives you about 80% of what a full 4inch system would. Best of all you can get one at NAPA for about $70 or blackclouddiesel.com has them for $54 with shipping. Just take it and a couple clamps to a muffler shop and see if they will hook you up.
