The IAC is mounted to the driver's side of the throttle body. It consists of a solenoid witha two-wire pigtail and a cast alloy valve body that bolts to the throttle body via two bolts with a small gasket between the valve body and throttle body.

It couldn't be easier to replace. Very simple. You could do it in the parking lot of the auto parts store in less than 30 minutes. While you are under the hood, remove the air intake hoses from the TB and clean the TB with throttle body cleaner (be sure that it is safe for throttle bodies).
