Where is the IAC located on a 1999 5.4.I seen a picture of a 4.6 but not a 5.4.

Behind the intake elbow....follow the PCV hose from the passenger valve cover and you should see it.

 

I found it and am going to replace it while I got it off,I have spent way too much time with the missing at 35 to 50 mph problem.
I changed all plugs and coils,fuel filter,air filter.
I am probbaly going to change the IAC also,it looks fairly easy to get to.

The hard part is getting the damn plug off then back on again. Also the new ones usually don't come with a gasket so either take good care of the old one or make sure you get one with the new IAC.
