I was wonderin if any of you guys run super swamper LTB's on your truck. if so how good would they be on a daily driver? how long would they last? and also woul they give me a rough ride? thanks for any info.
I put 6 S.S. ltb's on my 05 dually the 34x10.5x17 well the ride was rough and the front tires wore real bad I knew I would not get 10,000 miles out of them had them on for 5,000 miles and last week going 60 mph on the highway when the front drivers tire came apart a large chunk of tread (3"x5") went thru the inner fender liner. The tire was still holding air so I limped home. Well I was glad I still had my factory tires had all 6 mounted that night. Thanks to Glen's automotive in somersworth NH. I now have 5 for sale. The tires had the look I wanted and every job site I went to someone would comment on them. But the quality of them is poor for street use. So I would not recommend them.
i too had a set of LTBs 31x10.50x16 to be exact....to make a long story short....NOT FOR STREET USE...maybe good on a hunting vechical that stays on a lease or something...the pavement just melts them!...i got like 8-10K miles out of them...they were BALD when i was done with them...they were just like any other swamper in the mud....if you want a swamper that lasts for a while....go with ssr or sx line....just my 2 cents though!...

One of my best friends had a set of 34x9.5-16s on his 98 Cummins. They wore terrible for the 8K miles before the cap on the right rear came off 1/3 of the way around and took out his box side and exhaust.
He ditched 'em.
Yeah, a great tire for hunting buggies, but NOT A DAILY DRIVER. Get SSR's.
