Civic diagnosis?
The wifes commuter car had a little episode and I'm wondering if my assesment is correct. I was driving and looked down to see the speedometer going whacko. It was moving all around going up and down like crazy. A minute later the check engine light came on. The lights were pulsating, not going dark, more like if you were switching the light switch from DRL to regular lights.
As I pulled up a little hill to the house the engine revved up real high while barely getting the car there. It's an automatic and it just had the timing belt/chain replaced about 3000 miles ago.
I'm guessing alternator.
