New problem with transmission

I was on my way back from San Antonio this weekend when i noticed my truck shifting back on forth between gears when i took my foot of the gas (speeds around 75-80) When i got into town it started doing it real bad. At stoplights it would rev up high then jump into gear. Checked my fluids, everything was ok, just had a tune up. Anyways i dropped it off at my local transmission shop on the way home. Tomarrow i am either going to get them to check it out, or I am thinking about buying a new transmission for it and doing it myself. Any ideas on what this could be? Appreciate the help. By the way its a 98 F150 4.6L 2wd, automatic.

thanks

The revving up real high then jumping into gear sounds like a bad torque converter.

well I called the transmission shop today to see what was going on. The owner said that he had been driving it around and can't get it to act up. Said he has out about 30-40 miles on it so far and nothing happened. No codes showed up, fluid is full, looks good, smells right. Weird how he can't get it to act up, it was doing it to me every time I slowed down or speeded up. I brought up computer problem with the shifting, he said he will check it out, but he wants to drive it some more. Alls I have to say is he better put some gas in it. Any ideas?
