Grinding Front End

Grinding Front End
Any Helpful answers would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 89 Ford Bronco, 4X4, 5.8 L ( 351 ). While driving down the road it sometimes has a grinding sound in the front end. At first I thought it was the bearings going out in one of the wheels but it does not occur all the time. I lifted the front end and checked to see if there was any tire play up and down, there wasn't. Spinning the tires also didn't produce the noise again. It does not occur when applying the brakes, or at least the noise doesn't increase. It does not occur all the time. At times it is very loud.
