Unhappy Dtc P1211 ??

well, for the second time this week, my truck threw me a Check Engine light.....first time in San Antonio at home, this time in College Station....ran by Advance and they scanned it and found 1 code being DTC P1211 "injector pressure beyond desired" autozone gave a little more info in that it was more or less than ideal. now, when it threw the light, i was gettin on the gas pretty good, but it had never thrown it to me before. guys at 'zone said to check my HPOP to make sure it was full and to see if it was leaking in the valley. i know there has been a VERY slight oil leak since i've gotten the truck a yar ago. just rolled 200K a couple weeks ago. the leak is so small it leaves maybe 1 or 2 drops every ngiht in the driveway. so when i get home to SA tomorrow with my tools and a good light i'm gonna crawl up on top and scope everything out. i know there is a typical oil pan leak on these trucks, but is there one on top? its a '95 2x4, 5.6K resistor (if that has anything to do with it??).

I believe the culprit could be the 5.6K mod but I could be wrong. I know that my truck throws this code and others all day long but I am also running with the Edge Juice and Diablo Predator programs and this is somewhat normal for tuned trucks. Basically your PCM is "seeing" injector pressures that exceed it's range of values. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yep - what MikeAllen said - it seems to be a normal thing with trucks that you chip or have a tuner on. You are dumping in more fuel than the stock program, and with the 5.6K - you are doing it after the PCM and I would think is MORE likely to throw the code than with a chip or tuner - though they definitely do too.

If your truck is running fine, and you're getting the code after punching it hard - I would worry about it.
