Will a flywheel from a 1966 300 six work ok on a 1984 300 six? Also what was the orginal engine color of a 300 six in a 66 F-100 THANKS

 

Yes. However, the bigger question is, will the flywheel work with the transmision/clutch? Currently I'm using a '79 300 in my '84 & when I swapped engines I just left the flywheels & clutches on the respective engines. The donor truck was a 2WD w/ a 3spd & my truck is a 4x4 w/ a 4spd & I've had no problems.
As far as I know, in '66 the 240/300s were painted ford blue.
