HELP, i brought a 1985 f-150 with a efI 302 for $125.00. the kid i got it from knows nothing about motors and had been messing with it and srewed it ( wires and plugs) up. I can't seem to find anyone that knows what PLUGS go in the motor. Everyone ( including FORD DEALERS) keeps telling me that it takes the asf32c which it doesn't (not long enough) I've told everyone that it takes a extented plug and they all say that someone has messed with the heads. I don't belive that no one is that dumb to change that. it had to be done at FORD when truck was made. Maybe someone has changed the motor or heads to a 75 or older which uses larger plugs. Wouldn't the easiest way to get a plug that fits be to remove one you have and take it to a parts store.

If you've pulled the heads and know for sure you need a longer plug, then by all means take the old one in and get some replacements. In my experience, motorcraft runs the best in Ford engines. Your right, but like i said the kid I bought it from had screwed with it and it didn't have any plugs in it

there are some casting numbers on the head you should be able to cross-reference them and idenitfy the year. try searching for something like ford head cast number this is one of the sites i found and it seems to have a goot bit of info. Good luck FourtraX
