I did some research on this site , and read about the purple/yellow wire for the TC lockup solenoid. I spliced the wires and ran a switch to my dash, when off, you can tell the difference, especially going up hills, or just those certain speeds where it locks up too early. I just did this last weekend and barely used it since, just enough to test it. I did notice the higher line pressure (crisper shifts) but no lights came on or blinked.
MY QUESTION:
Have any of you others experienced any real problems doing that trick? I don't want to ruin the tranny, but I must say it feels like a totally different beast now!
I plan on an aftermarket trans cooler (another thing I read on here). For doing something that was basicly free, it really amazed me, and I can flip the switch on at freeway speeds to lock it up to save gas. It just seems like it locks up way to early, robbing power from my poor 302!
