66 master clyinder
I would reiterate to compare your old master cylinder with the '72 2x4 and the '72 4x4 with 4 wheel drum brakes.
I had to replace the master cylinder on my son's '72 2x4 with 4 wheel drums. They gave me one but the pushrod was too short.
Turns out the first one they gave me was for a '72 4x4 with 4 wheel drum brakes.
The correct one was longer.
It didn't occur to me until a few days later that the 4x4 one might be just right for our Slicks!
That's why I am suggesting you compare them. If the 4x4 is correct for pushrod length, then you solve a BIG issue with this upgrade. Less work for you to do.
Get a proportioning valve from a 4 drum truck and you will have the key components. The only other issue will be the brake light switch. Search here for options to overcome that.
Good luck and keep us posted!
