Powerstroke Diesel ??
Hello to all,
I am in the market for a new truck (new to me) and I am looking for info on Powerstroke diesel crew cabs. I have heard from a friend that there have been some trans/convertor/flexplate problems with these. Is this so?
I have another buddy that has a 95 Ford Diesel and it just seems to run. Only has about 125000 miles and those are mostly highway towing a race car.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Wish I could buy a new one, but it is not in the cards.

Hi! I have a '97 PSD Cew Cab and a few months back while filling up I noticed tranny fluid POURING out from underneath. This was after a non stop drive from Edmonton, Alberta to Shelby, Montana. After having to have my truck towed (by a Dodge 
) to the nearest Ford garage 70 miles away, the Ford mechanic told me the torque conver had cracked in half! I saw it with ny own eyes or I wouldn't have believed it. He said this was pretty common on these years of trucks and that he has seen it many times before.
