Question Another Predator Question

Lets start by telling you that I just had my rig raised 6" and installed BFG 315/70R17 KO's. Obviously my speedo is not reading correctly so I picked up a Superlift truespeed sensor and I am going to install it this weekend.
My question is should I reload the factory settings (currently running performance 65hp tune) from the Predator prior to installing the truespeed sensor, or can I just install it while the truck is in the performance tune. I am concerned about the voltage being a factor when reloading the factory tune if I ever have to. The predator manual is pretty concerned about any extra accessories when reading and writing tunes. Is this an issue. Anybody have any comments on the proper way to address this issue. Thanks.

I e-mailed Diablo Sport and had the same question and they told me that they haven't done any test with the Predator and the Truspeed and I should disconnect the Truspeed when changing programs .

Hope this helps

Thanks Monster Duty, That sounds like an easy solution. Will the Truespeed sensor need recalibrated after being disconnected?

I haven't installed mine .
There are two adjustment screws on the side of the unit for calibration and I believe once that is set , it's set
I don't think I'll be installing the Truspeed because with the 315 's on there is only a 4 mph difference between the speedo and the GPS .

Thanks for the info Monster Duty
Yeah, we checked it out at 70mph and I was reading 5mph slow. I am more interested in getting an accurate odometer reading for out driving trails,I probably should have bought a GPS myself. Do you know if they work and show forrestry trails? My friends just does streets and highways and such, but it doesn't have off road maps on it. Maybe I should research it further and quite possibly return it for a gps!
Shopping for a gps is a whole nother issue!

Rich...
what u do with a GPS in the "boonies" is save a Waypoint BEfORE you get out there... then it will always be able to tell u which way is "out"

little more to it than that... but that's the gist of it...

Jdadamsjr,
Is that like uploading a map onto the GPS thing and then using it.
