Under ground air lines

Under ground air lines

What do you guys use for underground air line.I'm going app.50 feet from comp. Steel lines or what.And what size pipe.The peice coming out of comp. is one inch. TIA Tim

3/4" PEX pipe, don't put any connectors below ground, slope towards the outlet and put a bent PEX "P" trap at the turn that comes out of the ground. Blow the line down before hooking tools to it, and about every half hour blow down to get condensate out of the lines. Check PEXconnection.com for the pipe and call them so you'll get the right stuff.

I like soft rolled copper that is one piece, with a autobleed on the compressor. Soldered copper has a high psi rating I have personally tested it at 200 psi for 4 hours for water test. M copper is the thinest L is the middle and K is the thickest and most expensive. I would use K. I dont like the pex fittings guess it is from replacing too many when the quest came out.
