Shift or axle bump

I have a 01 F-250 Diesel, Supercab, AT, 2wd. It has 30K miles on it and from standstill makes a bump when you first accelerate to start off. My local dealer has checked everything but says its nothing to worry about. I pull a 26ft TT and it is noticeable to me. It feels like the drive line has some slack in it.
Has anyone else experience this before?

I have the same issues with my 99 350 Crew PSD. It seems as though it's something sticking then let's go.

It's headed in to the local shop for another reason and this as well so I'll let you know if they find anything.

Guys, while working the hound out of many really good trucks over the years as I have, I have had this happen and found this to be the free float axle bolts loosen up and you can roll the slack in those bolts on the end of the axle where they bolt to the hubs. You can see this by getting someone to put foot on brake and roll back and forth from forward to reverse and you watch the bolts and the axle end...Might be what you guys are having happen...

I'm new at this but I put the same question out there and someone replied and said to pull the driveshaft off and grease something (? forgot what he said...got it printed and in my truck) but anyway...Ford put out a Tech bulletin about this. Do a search for TSBs for Ford F250 and it might turn up.
