hello everyone i have a carter afb competition series 750 cfm carb to put on my 351w. I know what the fuel line is but on the back side there is one line and the front there is another line and beside that line 2 ports for what looks like more lines. Are all of these vaccume lines. Does it matter where i hook them all up? is there such thing as a gas overflow line or something like that? Basicly my question is Do all these ports and lines go to vaccume????
There will be basically two types of ports. The ones with vacuum at idle, and the ones that have vacuum only when you open the throttle (ported). If you are not running lots of smog equipment, you can basically choose whatever port is convenient and the correct diameter for the hose you want to hook up. Usually the dist is hooked up to a ported vacuum port as well as the egr if you have one. The pcv valve usually hooks to a larger connection, and sometimes the brake booster too if it's not on the manifold. The pcv valve, booster, transmission, etc hook to the ones with vacuum at idle.
