If y'all remember I had a minor misunderstanding with my delership on my truck about two weeks ago on the spray in bedliner. Well, I went back yesterday to get the oil changed at 1100 miles, Blackstone kit finally came in this past weekend. Iam so frustrated with the dealership I do not even know where to begin. There is a laundry list of complaints I have with the parts dept, service dept, and accessories dept.
Is it too much to ask for courteous service and to receive what you were promised during the sale of the truck? I am 3 for 3, post sale, bad visits to this dealership. Yesterday when I left I flat out told them I was done with them and if I could return the truck based on the dealerships performance I would, then go elsewhere to rebuy the exact SAME truck. Thus fr I have held off on any official complaints but I think I'll start a letter today. The list is long enough I need to before I forget it all.
Antacus, I had the same problems with a Houston Ford dealer. I was not given what I was promised during the price negotiations. I have complained all the way to Ford in
Michigan with no avail. Love my truck but I sure made a mistake with my dealer choice.
Put it on paper, call them on their bad performance. If they are acting like that do not let them get away with it. You will get some satisfaction from writing the letter and I bet you get contacted from management. You may not get satisfaction from the manager, but you will get it out of your system.....
I am in the north Dallas area. The dealership called me a few times yesterday but I did not answer the phone because I was not in a good mood to talk with them. They called again this morning and I had yet another 45min conversation with yet another manager. Now I need to decide if I want to let them 'make me happy' again. Once I fill out that little survey card how much will they be willing to fix these problems?
The survey card is nothing but a slap in the wrist as far as their concerned.
You need to speak with the owner of the dealership and don't take no for an answer.Calmly though and bring your salesman in with you if you have to so he agree things were discussed prior to the sale.
Most of the time it works for me.
I've been buying trucks and cars at 1 dealer for 25 yrs.I know the owners and they know me.In the beginng they pulled their little games and tried everything.

I like all my fords ive had but in my opinion all the dealers are a pain in the rear I end up fighting with the dealer untill its of waranty then fixing it right my self but thats just my opinion
I love my truck, loved the Ford truck I had before this one. Not a single problem with either yet. The salesman was good, I have no problems with him. It has just been the accessories dept, the parts dept, and either the service dept or the F&I guy the night I bought my truck. They are discussing who said what and will call me back tomorrow.
I hate slamming a dealership, but so keep kw5413 from going nuts... I will only say it is one off 75 that changed its name a few years ago, for about a year, before going back to its original name. If you been in the area for a while you'll know who I am talkin about
Yep...I've been around here for a week or two...My wife's office is just down the street from the dealer you speak of.
No way I would do business with them...FYI: They wouldn't even attempt to match an internet quote from the dealer in Mesquite when I bought my daughter's Escape @ Christmas.
A few years ago I chewed out the (then) sales manager in the middle of the show room floor regarding the best deal in Dallas (I warned him not to act like I was stupid...he didn't listen). The poor sales guy was so embarressed he quit on the spot and was off the lot before I was.
i ended up going to another dealer to get the service i thought i deserved. The service manager didnt even care and even asked me to take my truck to another dealer. but i ended up finding a better dealer and i wish i had purchased my truck from them instead.
your dealer will find out you arnt happy, mine did through a spineless snitch on this site.
Since we are on the subject. I use CASA Ford in El Paso, TX and normally don't have a complaint with the service dept. But the last time I took my truck in to have scheduled maintenance done they choked. When I got the truck back it had diesel and oil everywhere. All over the engine compartment, down the tranny, diesel fuel all down the frame rails, and oil and diesel fingerprints all over the paint and inside the cab. Normally a day or two later they will call to ask how the service was. This time was no exception. They called and I explained to the lady everything that was wrong with the service and how long it took me to clean-up the mess. My polite rant went on for about 5-8 minutes. And after my rant, and I kid you not, her response was "So, were you happy with the service?" I know that a few people on this site work for dealerships and my question to them is, do these survey's even count? Or if the response is negative do some dealerships (of course not yours,) just mark the form as satisfied?
My dealer, Cove Ford, Copperas Cove Texas has super sales staff. I have bought 14 new vehicles mostly SuperDuty trucks through them since 1999. All at or below invoice, and I get all the incentives at time of sale.
Sandra and Nelson run a very good service department and I do occasionally have to be firm because by being on the inter net I tend to know more about current TSB and problems then they do.
I have never ever found any Dealers Parts department in the last 45 years that was worth bragging about, they all suck!
this is in response to the surveys. there are surveys mailed to you from ford. these surveys count heavy on how well a dealer rates with ford. the second kind of survey is one done by a third party over the phone. this survey ways heavy on the individual that helped you. this survey also gives the dealer a better idea of where they need to improve. please fill the surveys out honestly.. people do read them.. i know this because i work at a ford dealer. every morning we read our surveys and go over the positive and negative. i will warn you that if it is negative be polite. a polite negative is taken more serious and will get you further.
