I would like some hints on how to replace the heater core without taking out the dash. Its a 1995 ranger 4 cyc. The book calls for removal but I dont mind doing some modifications ie (cut it up and glue it back together) if needed. Any ideas if its even possible without remoivng the dash would be greatly apppreciated. Also any recommendations on books to follow.
I have a 98 Ranger and have intentions of not removing the heater if my blend door breaks again. (I am very "bull headed" and do not intend on giving Ford $1,000.00) I went to the local dealer and talked them into giving me an old heater that they replaced for some poor sap who doesnt know about this site. Now I can see where things go and can visualize where to cut.
I dont intend on doing anything unless the bled door breaks again. You know, if it aint broke, dont fix it. If and when it does, I will have something to "practice on". Its been about a year since I stumbled onto this site and fixed my blend door with a finish nail.
