Ranger Power Locks

Hi everyone

Im working on a 2000 ford ranger that had a side swipe (i do bodywork on the side in my garage) on the drivers side, not to serious but enough to replace the drivers door. My problem is that the power locks will only go up and down a little bit, not enough to unlock or lock the vehicle. Even if i try on the passanger side i get the same thing. All the wiring looks good and also i get the same exact thing from the keyless entry locks.

Please help me out i dont wanna take it to a shop just for this, i didnt check the fuses and if its the fuses which ones??

Thanks Brian

It sounds like a bad ground. There are two grounds to look at. One is located on the air bag control module under the cup holder. If the A/b went off or anyone has done anywork around there I would check that one first. The next one is located under the carpet under drivers seat was it out out or worked on?. This info is from a 2002 wiring book, But I think it is the same as you 2000. hope this helps.
