Hello from the Mudgepondexpress!
I guess what let's me belong here is a life long Love affair with all things Ford. We have many vehicles in the stable, but the one that truely counts to all of you is my pickup. It is a 1981 F150 Flairside, Color is Bright Bittersweet (orange) and is stock (this was a dealer special order), 2x4, originally a 302 with AOD. It is now powered by a 1986 Mustang 5.0 HO SEFI engine, with a 1990 computer and Mass Air Flow sensor setup. The stock headers from the HO remain, with the AOD from 81, and 2.5 inch dual exhausts. It is an XLT trim package and in its day was pretty upscale (pw, pl, tilt, stereo, slider, carpet, tow package (4 row radiator), map and dome lights, tach, etc. It has been in my family since basically new (my Dad was a salesman at the dealership, and purchased it when the owner of the dealership tired of it in 6 months). It now has 190,000 (just turned today) miles, and this engine is been in it 80,000 miles of its life. The previous engine was a Street Boss setup from B&A performance...great engine, just not for a pickup!
I guess I have another vehicle that makes the list...1976 Ford Courier, Flariside, V8...my first car and still in my possession! It was a father/son project to match his F150 (my current rig). Same color, etc...and was a ball back in the 80's/90's when V8 powered small vehicles were rare!
Well, thanks for having me!
Kenny
