I know this is kind of a generic response, but a manual (chilton's/haynes) is well worth the money. I've managed to save myself alot of time and money using mine.
It is bolted to the back side of the throttle body with two small bolts. It is silver in color and has a wire plugged into it with a small rubber hose coming out the back.

I removed mine ('00 ltd) last Sept. and cleaned it with gumout and an air hose.....took a total of less than 1 hour. Not a single startup or idle problem since. Clean it before you replace.
