Bad Climate Control Module
2003 F-150 with electronic control panel
38K miles (out of warranty)
Problem: No air from floor vents. Defrost and panel vents OK.
Ford says the control panel is bad (list = $460)
Does anyone know if a 'manual' panel can be plugged in place of the electronic one? (Obviously some of the gee-whiz 'functionality' is lost, but worth nothing to me - its cheaper and, one would hope, a whole lot more reliable).
[And I still need to confirm this diag - seems relatively unlikely to be the case given the symptoms and responses to a previous post.]

Just thought I'd try again. . .
Can a manual heat control panel be swapped into vehicle with the electronic heat contols? (Dealerships want $530 to replace, a bit ridiculous to get floor heat! I'll pry open the floor vents first!).
