say it aint so

went to a local muffler shop today after school to ask about the cost of intallation and what not...but did not like what i heard. as yall know the 99 sport has a dual inlet muffler and other that the flowmaster 50 series they are hard to find. SO i asked if he could put in a y-pipe and a 40 series. But the guy at the shop said this would "choke" the engine. i have read here taht people have done this before, the y-pipe and a 4o series, so was he jsut telling me this becase he didnt want to do that kind of set up or were his claims true?

I thought the stock setup was a y-pipe then a SI/SO muffler?

Can you afford to go true duals (two mufflers)? I almost bought a truck that had that setup with Flow 40s and it sounded sweet.
