Window Tint prices?

I am wanting to tint the windows on my SCab & was wondering if I could get some of the prices that have been paid for a professional job that stand behind their work. I understand there are several variables involved w/ type film & %'s but I am just looking for some idea whats a good deal & whats not.

Law here in Va. 50% on front & 35% on rear doors no limit on rear glass

Thanks for your help

Here in Dallas, I have a shop that does all my stuff. They use 3M panther ( I think) and are very professional. A 50/35% job should run about 250-350 bucks if you shop around

WHAT THE? I paid $40 to get my 2 front windows tinted, really nice, legal, you can also get the darker tint but they can't put the "legal" sticker on it or whatever. It has lifetime warranty and looks sharp. My truck came with the back windows tintined so that wasn't problem. I had it on my previous car, which my sister has, zero probs. Tinted windows all around shouldn't cost you more than $120 IMO... more than that is getting ripped off. Hope this helps

While that is true from cars I thought in VA you could go as dark as you wanted on all but the front two windows and the windshield. Thats what I was told anyway. I also read up on it before I did mine and it appeared trucks fall and suv's fall under the MPV group which will allow you to tint the rear windows as dark as you want. I have used 5% and it looks nice but is a pain to see out of at night and you can't if you don't have lights behind you but I like it a lot and is fine if you have a light behind you or your reverse lights on or something. I think I might go with 15% if I did it again though. Maybe 5% as I love how it looks from the outside.

I had the front two windows tinted 20% to match the rear. It cost $50 and it came out perfect. To have an entire car done should cost no more than $150.
(at $150 it should be absolutely perfect!)

here in tennessee you have to go 35 on the front two windows. the guy that done mine put 35 on the front two, then 15 over the factory tint. it looks great. it was around $115 which i think is a great price. plus he's the best i've seen very professional

Damn I can't remember what they were going to charge me around here. I ended up paying $30 for some film from them and doing it myself. I was thinking for my car they wanted $180 normally but had a $50 off coupon or maybe it was $180 with the $50 off. I don't know if they don't ever charge full price or not but when I called he was like it is this price and we have a $50 off coupon. The guy that works there maybe owns it seems like he does is very nice and when buying tint took some time to show me how to do it so if I ever get it done I will probably have it done there even if it cost more.

sorry, brainfart. I forgot about the privacy tint option on the back window. That takes off about 80 bucks.

I did the front, rear and back windows on a SuperCrew in Cali, and it was less than $150. No problems either. I went very dark on the rear and back windows, check my gallery. I thing to remember is that the darker you go, the harder it is to see at night. Sometimes I need to roll them down to back up.
