cats and headers
ive got a 4.6 97 f150. this summer i will be buying a remaunfactured 4.6 and also getting a flowmaster 40 series muffler and exhaust. i am interested in headers but heard that i will need hi-flowing exhaust and the extra cost kinda of scared me away. is this true? and if it is where is the cheapest place to buy them?finally are headers worth the hastle? thanks

You can use headers with the stock exhaust, but you will not realise their full potential unless you have a free flowing exhaust to go along with them. You should still notice a difference, though.
IMO, yes, they are worth the hassle.
