I see much discussion on the Plow Pkg and Hvy Dty Suspension Pkg. Do you feel the Plow Pkg is a must with the Camper Pkg? It seems as the Camper package gives you everything but the Steering stabilizer. The camper package states that the springs are upgraded in the front. The dealer says not needed for the springs are already upgraded and they will install a steering stabilizer upon delivery. What's the general concensus?
Thanks
The plow prep gives you 6000# front springs and a HD fan clutch plus the stearing stablizer and all for $85.00
I wouldnt pass it up if I was ordering again.
I went with the plow package & camper package. Without a plow its still not too stiff up front. I 'm glad I added it. Spring rates are #5200 stock, #5600 camper, #6000 plow. I also added the FX4 for better shocks. Good Luck!
I may add it tomorrow, I ordered it friday, shouldn't be much of a problem to add. Just curious as to when I look up the specs on Fords web page it does not differentiate the spring rates for the packages? The plow package does not list a steerting stabilizer, only the HD package and it says nothing of the fan clutch. But I guess for $85 I can't go wrong. I read some post's that state the upgades in suspensions relate to a slightly higher front end? Any truth or solid facts to back this up? I'm already considering adding an aftermarket leveling kit when it comes in if I don't like the way it looks. Some of the SC LB's look to low in the front when compaired to SC Sb's. Do you think the 2.5 level kit would void any warranties?
Again Thank you for the prompt reply's
My 04 F-350 V-10, DRW has the plow and camper package, handles my 9' Fisher plow very well,Handles loads and trailers excellent also, Someone commented on how high the front was compared to other trucks,,Looked better. Theres pics in my gallery,,I would definately get both packages.
