Ford blue engine paint
I found dupli-color has 3 different colors of ford blue for engine enamel. Ford blue DE1601, Old ford blue DE1621, and Ford dark blue DE1606. I like the looks of ford dark blue DE1606. It looks like its the best match for the 300 thats in my 82 F100. But its hard to tell because the paint is so faded and very little of it is left. Anyone know which one of the 3 is the correct or best match for my the 300 in my 82? Thanks Fred

DE1606 Ford Dark Blue should be the one. I have used it on a 1979 302 and a 1981 351M. The Old Ford Blue was pre-1965 (forget exact date). The other blue is Corporate Ford Blue and I am not sure where it was used but is close to the Old Ford Blue. There are other discussion threads here on FTE about engine paint and use of other colors by Ford: red, black, gray.
