Power steering pump...

Well, here's the deal...i have a '94 F150 and it has a 5.0 in it, i've had it a while and the power steering pump has been making a "wining" sound when you turn the wheel, is this normal or is it about to give up on me??? I've heard both could happen from different people but i really don't know what to think so any ideas??? Thanks for you'r input!!!

Depends, most Fords have a reputation for the whinning steering pump. However, this can also indicate a problem. How does the fluid look? How does the steering feel?

Very common, probably nothing wrong with it since the steering feels fine.
