fuel gauge ?
I have a 91 Explorer and the gas gauge is not working. I have done a search on it and concluded that it is probably the ball float. But before I drop the tank I was wanting to unpug the electronic plug from the gas tank to make sure that it is'nt something else. Can anybod tell me were this plug is. Iv'e read it in past post but I just don't know were the plug is.

Remove the left rear tire and you should see the wiring harness at the back end of the tank. The wiring runs down along the frame rail and exits near the rear in the area near the fill hose.
