Glad I found this place!
Yup, I'm new here. My name's Mark and I found this site while doing some research for a project I'm helping my father-in-law with.
He's got an '85 short step side with a dying 6 banger. But on the garage floor he's also got a '91 5.0 AOD from a 'Stang wreck. Of course, the plan is to swap!
I've never done a truck 6 to V8 swap, and that's why I'm here. (I'll post my questions in the correct place later).
I'm mostly a GM guy (daily driver is an '88 RX-7 w/ LS1 6-speed), but have a history with Ford fun, so I feel safe here.
I've contributed to 2 351 swaps so far. One into an '89 5.0 'vert. The other into an old Fox body Mustang. Both with blowers, one EFI, one carbed. Both fast!
Also, I grew up with the inventor of the "C&L mass air meter". Started as a 5.0 Mustang product only, but has really branched out over the years. Lee Bender, and I were best of friends since 2nd grade. I was around at the very start of his business.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to your input when the time comes. I'll have plenty of questions, I'm sure!
