Vin Code
Do the 1980-86 ford truck frames have the vin code stamped on them? I know the 74-79 did. I am building a truck, and i just need to know where all the vin codes are so I can make them match.

The Haynes Manual shows Nothing about frame numbers.

Yup, they do, or, at least my 82 does. It's stamped in the top of passengers side frame rail twice, the first is about even with the bellhousing, and the second is futher back, a few inches behind the bolts that hold the tranny x-member gusset. I didn't notice either until I pulled the body and started to clean up the frame...
