351w motor mounts
351w was put in my 58.They cut on the crossmember and mounted the engine with homemade mounts.If I remove the crossmember and replace it with one of the tube type crossmembers I see is it going to weaken my front end ? Open for suggestions.

You can add another crossmember near the transmission. Or you can box the frame. And many before you have done none of the above and report no big problems.
