I recently purchased a brand new Holley 4160, 600 cfm carb to replace my 2bbl for my 1976 F-100 2wd. The truck has a stock 360, with headers and 2.5 inch dual exhaust, rear gear is 3.00.
I realize I will have to try different jet sizes until I am satisfied, but I was wondering what a good jet size would be to start out with, in terms of relative power and fuel efficency? It would make getting the right jet size easier.
I'm away at school at the moment, so the carb is 2 hours away so I do not have it right in front of me. All I could find was the "0-80457S", says it is the part number, not sure if that is the list.
I always ran #68 primary, #72 secondary jets in mine. Of course yours probably has the secondary metering plate so you cant change secondary jets. I'd start out at #68 and go from there.
You will need to get the List# off the air horn to be sure, but it either has #69 or #64 primary jets. It is most likely the 64, which is a good size for a 360 with your mod's.
If the List# is 80457 it has the 69 otherwise it has the 64.
