Unhappy leather seats

I have a 2000 F350 CC diesel with tan leather seats in it. I have just notice that the leather seats are starting to flake off little pieces of the leather. I am not sure if that sound right, but they are not cracked there is just a couple of spots that I have seen so far. The are only about an inch or two long and only in a couple of spots, and they are very very small pieces. I only have 32000 miles on the truck. Has anyone else have this problem?

Have you been using any type of leather conditioner on them?

My 2001 is the same way. Its just beginning to get a little area thats doing that. Mine has 50k on it though. I hear the 2002 and newer have better leather, and don't do this as bad. You might check on the embroidery on the seat, mine shows a little wear there too. I guess you just have to live with it...or try to find a leaher replacement. I've lathered mine up with conditioner a few times, but I think the damage is already done.

The die is just about gone on the seat portion of my 01 with 197,000 miles! No tears yet but close to the seam it's really noticable. The back looks good and the passanger side looks like it is new!! No more than about 3,000 miles on passager seat! I get in and out about 20 times a day so I think mine is normal! Wish I could swap sides!!
