Hey everyone its me again. I want to start by thanking everyone again for all the advise given to me during my week long, head scratching, hair pulling, cussing, bank account draining, only to find out it was a jumped timing chain, crisis! I couldnt have gotten thru it without ya'll. My truck runs so good now it worries me, when i come to a stop i keep thinking it died on me when actually its quietly idleing like it just came off the dealers lot. My problem now is something that has been going on for awhile that i really should fix. When i accelerate from a stop and it shifts into second gear its shifting pretty hard, even shifting to third it does it too but not as hard. What i need to know is how to adjust the bands on the tranny. I've read about how to do it but i would really like some advise from someone whos done it before, I really cant afford to screw this up. I would really appreciate it. thanks.
band adjustment won't fix a hard shift check the vacum modulator and the hose to it adjusting the bands only helps if the tranny is slipping in reverse or manual second thats the only time they are applied the modulater helps soften shifts
