do it yourself bedrug

just wondering if anyone made their own bedrug? any pics and comments? thinkin about making one for my 04 screw. was thinkin of marine grade but other than 3m tape what else would be safe to hold down without drilling?

Here is what I would do. get a few bottles of the 3m 90 adhesive spray they sell at home depot, then buy a few yards of the astro turf and just stick it on. Probably wouldn't cost but $40-50.

you can go with velcrow like the real rug does. i was worried too but then i realized the bed has the tie down hooks. since you gotta install the rug under them they will hold it in if the tape gives out.

I bought the Bedrug for $279 and installed myself. It looks great. If you make your own, it will not be molded to fit. Go with the real thing. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, if you want the real thing you can get them off ebay for around $200.

not asking cause i want to save money. just wondering if anyone had tried to do it themselves. ive found i take better care of things that i make myself. on those molded bedrugs are they all 1 peice or are sides and tailgate seperate. i would hate to rip one part and have to replace whole thing to fix.

all 3 sides is one peice that you zip to the floor portion. The tailgate is a separate peice. 3 peices total.

mines a two piece that zipped together i think its the bottom and tailgate and then you zip the sides on or something like that

My mistake, don't know why I thought mine had 3 peices. But after reading above I went out and looked at mine and you got it, 2 peices.

I reccomend the rhino liner... had it put on my truck and some friends trucks. Has a rich grey kind of look. I think it only cost me 250.00 installed...
