Been using RedHat/Fedora from RedHat ver 5 and I just started to play around with Ubuntu Linux (Based off of Debian). Currently running Fedora Core 3 on 2 filesevers (one is also my PDC). Running Ubuntu on a low end test box, and have Fedora Core 3/WinXP dual boot on the desktop. The last PC is running IPCop as my firewall/proxy server.

Sweet.. Glad there is someone else here that has tried the alternatives to windows. I am using my FC3 box more than my windows box right now... I seem to be having java issues with firefox under FC3 though.

I use slackware 10. I dual boot between win2k3 and it though. If my slave drive were big enough to run/install the xtra apps needed in slack, i'd be rid of windows pretty much.
I'm hoping to switch this old box i'm posting from over to file server duties, (running slack no less...) and get my new box online soon.

I'm using FC3 as well. I really miss my RH 9 distro though. All the FCs I've used have been buggy on my machine. I'm having Firefox problems on FC3 too - it intermittently locks up. I've been so displeased with FC3 I'm considering a switch to SUSE.
