I just got the worst mpg yet. 4.3 mpg. I have been plowing ALOt of snow the last 2 days. 20-22 inches of mostley wet heavey stuff. And the ground is not frozen any more so that just makes it worse. Truck has run great, a littel hot, but still great.
My 94 f-350 5.8 can push a big snow bank, but it is gona eat some gas to do it!!
Any body beat that for mpg?
Sorry, not even close.
However when out cruising around in the woods during hunting season or whatever in 4x drive my mileage drops down to around 7 mpg.
I think when you're either at a crawl or going back and forth (like snowplowing apparently) it would make more sense to post gallons per hour. Isn't that the info the have for tractors and stuff?

That's an excellent point. We do it that way with boats also. We just hope to get between point A and point B in a short period of time to keep the gallon count down.
I am pretty sure my odo. keeps track of millage both ways. The speedo works both ways.
I usley dont get this bad mpg, but this was a rather nasty storm. I usley get 6.5-7.5 with the plow on, and 10 empty.
