I came across this truck the first time I was stationed at Ridgecrest CA. I was stationed there again 5 years later and the truck was still there. I transfered to Guam and ended up calling back to make the deal for the truck. This truck was driven into Countyline Auto Recycline in 1990. It sat there for 13 Years untill I purchased it and 1 more year till i came stateside and could pick it up. The owner would not let anyone touch it they had to take it whole or not at all. The trim pices were still in the cab and the front bumper was in the bed along with lots of trash. I have just posted pictures of the truck as it was/is in my galley. I am hopeing that once i fix the breaks I will be able to get it running again with no problems other than the varnished fule
Thanks for looking into the history of my 29 AA.I love 47 one tons.Bought one in Seattle about 12 years ago and the guy was delivering up I-5 and I was on the state ferry boat heading off the island to meet him.Tie rod fell off,Flathead Larry and his brother crashed into a concrete wall. They were ok but front end was crushed,so was I.I later bought the rear half of the frame with box which I grafted onto my 38 one ton to make it an express.Still have the running gear if you need anything......Now, assigalet, you are in langley BC?.That is close to the border right?I am close,1 hr to Bellingham(Orcas Island) would like to see this 289/4 sp in you 46 as I am on the cusp of doing the same with lots of questions. GB
Yes, I am about 10 minutes across the border, or about half an hour from bellingham. If you are up this way let me know! Now that I have started to look at the '46 I picked up, it is going to need lots of work, there is alot more rust than what I thought, but still not too bad. Should hopefully run soon!
