Does it do it right away at startup, or after running a while?
If it doesn't do it right away, but does it after driving for a while, it might be a head drain that clogged up, and the excess oil is going down the valve-guides.
Otherwise, since it's only one side, sounds like a cracked piston or severely "wiped" cylinder.
