360 is smokin
i got a 76 f250 with a 360 rebuilt about 30,000 miles ago it has the four speed and at 60 is crankin about 2800-3000 rpm. when i let off the gas and engine brake on the highway blue smoke is commin out of the pipes (small amount) wile my foot is off the peddel. then when i put my foot back on the gas a larger puff will blow out. wandering if it is a gasket or a pcv problem

You can try the PCV valve, but it sounds like valve stem seals to me. When you let up on the throttle, oil is sucked down past the intake valve stem. This burns off somewhat. When you hit the gas, the remaining oil is quickly burned.

does it smoke during any other acceleration. kurt, just wondering if it could be a ring. ive heard of oil seeping down through the valve stem seals after shut down, and then being burnt off upon startup. just curious.
