Guys, got the Factory tech Valve Body in and I get to go up to the Ford house here again and do the swap out on the lift there. The service manager there I will owe big time after last weekend and now this one too...
Plan on putting a drain plug in the tranny pan as well while I have it down. Really looking forward to doing this and see what the tranny is like afterwards. Plan to take a few more PIC's of things while under the truck too and post them on my gallery with the others...
Rowdy, I believe the 4r100 pans bolt right up to the E4OD. They have the drain plug built in and also, I think, have a larger capacity. Have the service manager find one for you. Whats a couple more cases of beer and a few truck washes anyway.
Mike
MJW2, didn't know the 4r tranny had the drain plug,Hummm
Now that is a idea for sure. I will call him this morning when they open as its a little eary yet LOL...I have yet to figure how saving a very few cents is worth not putting the drain plug in the pan LOL... The techs at the dealer I go to swears it to keep the shade tree guys like me from working on the trucks.
They also said that all the cars and trucks are made harder to work on to help keep guys like me from working on them. Made sense to me, except that I still do things to them,DUH... Now that is not to say that I do everything. I don't, matter of fact there are things I will have them do.
Thanks for the tip on the pan and I will be checking to see if they by chance have one. I will shoot PIC's to as things go with the mods Saturday too...
