Auto Climate Control?

Just wondering if anyone has tried to put the auto climate control out of an EB into an XLT with the manual controls?

I havent had time to pull the controls out of my 01 Expy, but it feels like it is servo controlled(as opposed to cable) and it would seem that an auto control might be a plug and play.

Anybody tried this?

THis is not a plug and play deal. This has been discussed here before and researched in depth. There are different harnesses and temp sensors that the XLT doesn't have. Those of us with first generation Expys wanted to try this because it wasn't offered in 97 and 98 so we started digging around to see if it was feasible. Much to our dismay, it wasn't! It is cheaper and easier to leave it the way it is.

What about the early 03s...can they be retrofitted to use the dual zone auto temp that came in the later 03s and newer?
